Hello everyone! My name is Lauren, I use she/her pronouns, and I’m a junior from Nottingham, New Hampshire. I’m double majoring in Secondary Education and English and minoring in Creative Writing and Philosophy & Ethics. I have certificates in nonprofit management and leadership, and I’m working on Undergraduate Professional Endorsements in Adventure Sports Coaching, Nonprofit Management, Organizational Management, Conflict Management, and Leadership.

On campus, I’m one of the captains of the Dance Team and President of the Honors Program. I’m a MOVE CORE Team Leader for Special Events, Service Trip, Juntos, and Middle School Mentors. In the Adventure Sports Center, I’m a hiking and paddlesport instructor, and I manage the Center’s social media. I’m also a tour guide and manage the social media for Founder’s Society. In addition to being a Purposeful Learning mentor, I’m a peer tutor, peer notetaker, peer grader, and work in the Office of Admissions, the Academic Enrichment Commons, and the MOVE Office. I’m a member of Go Baby Go and one of the Student Government Association Class of 2024 Senators.

On the weekends, I love to go downtown to Church Street and the waterfront. My favorite place to get a bite to eat is Bliss Bee. I also love to watch football and make delicious baked goods. I’ve gotten really into climbing, so you can find me at PetraCliffs late at night on weekdays. days. This winter, I did the Learn to Ski Program, and I really love hitting the mountain! When I’m home in New Hampshire, I spend my time working retail, hanging out with my sister, and taking photos of flowers.

I enjoy doing community service with the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) New Hampshire seminar program; I sit on the Recruitment Committee and I’m one of the Co-Chairs for the HOBY NH Alumni Board. I volunteer with HOBY NH, HOBY VT, and the HOBY World Leadership Congress annually.

Dancing this year has been such a wonderful experience! This is the most normal year I’ve had since COVID, and I’ve really enjoyed all of the performances we’ve had! Spring show is my favorite time of year!

I would like to thank my parents and sister for building me into the person I am today, David Raymond for supporting me in all I do, Amy Hylen and Brigid Christiano for being the best roommates I could ask for, ALL of the amazing people who came out to watch the show tonight (because you’re the best cheerleaders!), Faith and Juneau for being outstanding co-captains and for always going above and beyond, and the Dance Team for another stellar year of performing and making memories!
